About me

Why I do this

Because I love it, simple as that. I want to make a positive difference to people’s journeys.

I wanted to help empower people who are pregnant, for birth or postnatally with knowledge, confidence and a calm mindset.

I am a mum of two, to a baby and a lively 3 year old! I have been happily married since 2018, and I love the little family we have created.

I am an Antenatal and Hypnobirthing Educator and Postnatal Practitioner.

My experience

I have worked in the NHS in various mental health services for over 10 years, and still do. I have worked with a number of mum’s through postnatal depression and anxiety.

In my current role in the NHS, I work with children as young as 4 to manage any behaviours that challenge, anxiety and/or low mood.

My motivation

When I had my son in 2022, I developed a strong interest and passion in learning about birth, postnatal support and hypnobirthing. At this time, we had a number of life events that really tested my anxiety, as well as a baby with tongue tie and CMPA, I found hypnobirthing techniques really helpful during this time.

Hypnobirthing helped me to feel empowered and manage my anxiety for pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

I had prepared so much for birth, I hadn’t thought that I might need support postnatally, it is such an isolating time.

Which is why I am so excited to be offering this support to other families now.

My intentions

For people that do not have a “village” or are finding things antenatally or postnatally a bit more challenging than they thought - I want to build that support system together!

I never understood what people meant by “If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life” until I started as a birth worker.

I want to share what I have learned over the years working in mental health and my birth work to help others feel empowered and have a calm mindset for ANY pregnancy, birth or baby experience they may have.

Also, to feel as realistically prepared as they can be - friends don’t often want to tell an excited pregnant person the reality! You should leave a class with us feeling good about the journey ahead.

My training

I trained with Our Baby Club - The Modern Antenatal Revolution (Winner of Lux Life - Best Antenatal Classes and Antenatal Teacher Training Provider 2024 - UK).

For my hypnobirthing training, I trained with Sophie Fletcher (Author of Mindful Hypnobirthing - a must read whilst pregnant! and Hypnotherapist). Being trained by a hypnotherapist on how to teach Hypnobirthing was a must! I completed the Mindful Mamma Hypnobirthing training and this training course I attended was approved by the Royal College of Midwives.

I am also trained in Mindful Mamma first year (a course I will be offering soon!).

I am fully trained and accredited as a FEDANT educator, I would love to support you on the most special journey you will ever go on 🙂
